It is essential to get two or three bids on major projects (roofing, masonry, deck construction, major painting, new carpet, new furnace, major plumbing and electrical, replacment windows, etc). In hiring a handyman, try to accumulate a number of jobs so the handyman will have a half or full days work. You will get a better price on the whole package. All the trademen listed here have either worked on my own property, worked on customer's property with reported satisfactory performance, or been suggested by other real estate agents personally known to me.
